AMM14 – AMPHORA 2 HANDLED WATER JUG

During my recent journey through Turkiye, I came across the exquisite Turkish Amphora urns. This dual-handled, hand painted container was historically utilized for carrying various liquid commodities, particularly water, wine, and olive oil. Originating from the Konya region, this gorgeous terracotta vessel represents the rich history and skilled craftsmanship of the area. Each curve narrates a tale, while every mark resonates with centuries-old traditions.

Age: Approx. 100-150 years old

Physical Details: A 2 handled terracotta traditional Amphora with hand painted red and white designs around base, slightly faded from aging.
