This vintage-inspired Senufo Bench was hand crafted in Northern China using recycled weathered elm wood. The tradition of the Senufo stool is rooted in Ghana’s honoured craft of woodcarving and rich cultural designs of the Senufo tribes in Mali and the Ivory Coast. Tradition has it that the Senufo stool floated out of the sky and landed on the lap of King Tutu, who unified the Ghanaian people in the 17th century. It was declared that the souls of the nation resided in this stool.
