HAS14 – 3 HANDLE GLAZED HATAY OIL JUG

These vessels originated from the Hatay region of southern Turkiye, which possesses a very rich, diverse and ancient history. The Hatay region is known as the melting pot of Turkiye and is home to a very diversified community since it only became a Turkish province in 1939. These works of art reflect ancient influences by the multiple populations that inhabited the region over the years. They possess gorgeous sculptured form, unusual colour, beautiful patina and fascinating stories of the past buried within.
