ODM05 – ODEMIS VESSEL

$920.00

During my recent exploration of the Turkish countryside in the Izmir province, I was fascinated by the rustic Odemis pots, their place of origin. Initially designed to transport honey, olives, oil and dry goods, these gorgeous containers have aged beautifully over time, carrying a rich history with them. Each vessel, ranging from 150 to 300 years old, displays distinct and exquisite markings from years of use, adding depth and a touch of history to your home. As I wandered through the charming villages, I discovered that these Odemis pots, with their unique shapes and intricate designs, are not just practical containers, but also pieces of art that tell a story of craftsmanship and tradition. The craftsmanship involved in creating these pots has been passed down through generations, with each artisan adding their own flair to the design, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind.
