During my exploration of the Turkish countryside in the Izmir province, where it originated, I was fascinated by this very large rustic Odemis pot. Initially designed to hold and preserve dry goods such as grains and rice, this gorgeous container has aged beautifully over time, carrying a rich history within. Each crack and imperfection in the aged clay displays unique and beautiful markings from years of use. This grand Odemis pot is more than just a container; it is a vessel of history, a vessel of tradition and a vessel of a bygone era waiting to be cherished once again. It will definitely make an exquisite statement piece!
Age: Approx. 250-300 years old
Physical Details: A truly one of a kind XL Odemis vessel features brown and rustic burgundy patina throughout the middle and around the rim of the vessel. A white wash top and beige bottom completes this stunning masterpiece.
